"Dear Bret Harte Community,

Happy October! We are well into the school year, and I want to take a moment to thank each of you for your continued support as we strive to create a positive and engaging environment for all students. It’s been wonderful seeing students settle into their routines, and I’m proud of the progress we’ve already made.

October is a month filled with exciting events, academic milestones, and community-building opportunities. Here’s what’s coming up:

End of the 1st Quarter: October 11th marks the end of our first quarter.  These quarter grades are meant to serve as progress reports on how your students are doing in their classes.  Grades will be able to be viewed through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.  Quarter grades are also what will be used to determine a student’s continued academic eligibility for Fall Sports Season, as well as the first half of the Winter Sports Season

College Prep and Applications: October marks a busy month for college applications and preparation. For seniors, our College and Career counselor, Sherryl Godfrey, is available to assist with applications, essays, and financial aid questions. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you need guidance during this crucial time.

Fall Sports & Extracurriculars: Our fall sports teams are in full swing, and we’re incredibly proud of their dedication and teamwork. Please come out to support our student-athletes at upcoming games and matches. Our schedule of games can be found on our website, under the Bret Harte Athletics Calendar.  Please click on the link to access the calendar.  Additionally, our clubs and activities are underway—if your student hasn’t found one yet, now is a great time to explore their interests and get involved.
