"I have been privileged to serve on the BHUHSD Governing Board, helping to keep our district financially solvent and working with the staff and administration to make sure we continue to offer high quality courses with exceptional educators to our students.

Growing up in Los Angeles, I graduated from UCLA.  My background includes teaching and directing preschool and extended daycare; support for parents of children with special needs; managing parent education classes; and substitute teaching. My focus has been on supporting children and parents and public education even before I made this area my home over 40 years ago."

"It is my privilege to serve on the BHUHSD board. My family moved here from Southeast Alaska in 2002 and our four children are all graduates of Bret Harte.  I am truly grateful for the upbringing and education this community bestowed upon my children and it is my hope that all our youth experience an equally positive childhood.

I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Journalism with a dual major in international relations.  I look to provide useful support where needed and listen and learn when necessitated.  I am committed to insuring the district remain financially sound and academically strong."

"I graduated from Reed College and the University of Arizona College of Medicine and have been on the Board since 1996.  I am a practicing physician concerned with the health of our community. With my wife, Holly we have two adult children that have graduated from Bret Harte High School.  I am committed to providing the children of our community with a solid education so they will succeed in their future careers, no matter what paths they choose.  I have a vision of our High School District Facilities as the Centerpieces of our Community providing educational and recreational opportunities to all members of our community."

"My name is Kellie Senn. As an alumnus of Bret Harte High School, I have been a resident of the surrounding area for over 45 years. I married my high school sweetheart in 1981, and have resided in Murphys ever since. As a longtime resident of Calaveras County, I have raised two children through the Vallecito and Bret Harte school systems. I was also a owner and operator of a small retail business in Murphys, becoming actively engaged in the business community. I have served on several committees and have chaired on extra-curricular organizations.

Our schools are important to us whether we are parents, homeowners, or simply citizens who want to live in a community that values education. I am willing to devote the time and energy that this community deserves in making decisions that will support our students, teachers, staff, and community."
