We are excited to roll out a new tool that will simplify how we communicate with you. Rooms, built right into the Bret Harte App, offers secure and safe two-way messaging. This addition allows us to bring the community closer together. From messages to educators, to events, to lunch menus, and more - everything can now live in one place.

Why Rooms?

• One place for every message. No more juggling multiple communication apps, flipping between inboxes, or remembering different logins.

• Text notifications. Parents and guardians will get notified automatically of new messages even if you have not downloaded the Bret Harte App. Student will be able to add a mobile number to receive text notifications in the near future.

• Safe and secure. Built-in moderation and other safety tools allow us to ensure safety of all communications, at all times.

Where do I find Rooms?

• On our convenient mobile app, the Bret Harte App.

• On a browser by navigating to any District webpage. Look for the "Sign In" button located in the upper right corner.

How do I log into Rooms?

• Parents and guardians can use either their cell phone number or primary email address on record to log in.

• Students use their school email to log in with Google SSO.

• Direct invites will be sent to all parents, guardians and students today, with reminders to follow thereafter. 

What to Expect with Rooms?

• Rooms will become our primary method for all communication for staff, coaches, families, and teachers.

• Rooms is now live and ready for messaging with teachers and coaches.

We’re excited to announce that Bret Harte Union High School District is launching Rooms®, a new way for families to connect directly with their student’s teachers, coaches, and school staff, all within the Bret Harte App. Starting January 2026, Rooms will become the central hub of classroom, club, and athletic team messaging. This new program allows us to give you one secure place to stay informed and connected to the District and its schools.

• Read updates in your preferred language. All messages, announcements, and updates will be automatically translated to your preferred language.

• Message staff in one click. Easily connect with teachers, coaches, counselors, and more and see all of your messages in one inbox.

Parents/guardians will automatically begin receiving messages once the platform launches. You’ll be able to view and respond to messages right from your mobile phone - through the Bret Harte App or on a web browser.
