Mark Waelty, fine arts instructor, was named the Teacher of the Year for the 2023-24 school year during last night's Governing Board meeting. "[Mark] fosters a supportive environment and provides the structure and creative discipline in order to help unlock the incredible artistic natures of our students," shared Jacob Holt, principal. "He inspires to go beyond the assumptions of their capabilities and challenges anyone in his classroom to express themselves, whether it is through a pencil, paint, or clay." Recipients are nominated and selected among their peers. Congratulations Mr. Waelty!
