Seniors Jack Trent, Rylee Banks, and Eli Weidmann were celebrated for signing with a four-year college to continue their athletic and academic careers yesterday April 28 in Bob Bach Gymnasium.
Athletic director Brian Barnett opened the event and shared, “We are here to celebrate the accomplishments of three outstanding Bret Harte Student athletes and wish them well as they leave Bret Harte.” He added, “Each of these student-athletes have excelled in the classroom as well as in their particular sport. Jack Trent, Rylee Banks, and Eli Weidmann have all been two-sport athletes and key members of each of their teams.”
Rylee Banks has signed with Cal Poly Humboldt in Arcata to play softball. The Lumberjacks are a NCAA Division II school and are part of the CCAA Conference competing against other California State University-system schools. Banks plans to study kinesiology. Jack Trent has signed with Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas to play baseball. Sterling College is a private NAIA college and the Warriors are part of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC). Trent plans to study kinesiology.
