The Boys Swim Team wrapped up their regular swim season as the 2026 Mother Lode League Championship Meet winners with a team high score of 266 beating Summerville, Linden, and Calaveras last Friday, April 24 in Angels Camp. In addition, they became two-time Mother Lode League Champions. With a 6-0 dual-meet record this season, they maintained their League championship title.

Senior Reese Roeder defeated her girls individual League championship title in both the 200 yd individual medley (2:36.68) and 100 yd backstroke (1:11.84) completing her final season at Bret Harte. In addition, she is new school record holder in the girls 200 yd free (2:14.02) and 500 yd free (6:08.44). Roeder will continue her swim career at The Masters University in Santa Clarita in the fall.
Junior Annie Farris is the girls individual League champion in the 500 yd freestyle with a time of 7:06.05.
The boys 200 yd medley relay team, comprised of seniors Brayden Bowersox and Marion Scott, junior Silas Langdon, and freshman Fulton Scott, finished first with a time of 1:52.68. In addition, the boys 200 yd free relay team, comprised of M. Scott, Langdon, and freshmen Brayden Hinkle and Wesley Shakal, finished first with a time of 1:42.89. Bret Harte also won the boys 200 yd free relay race last year with a time of 1:44.13.
Senior Marion Scott defeated his boys individual League championship title in the 100 yd breaststroke (1:15.09), freshman Fulton Scott became the League boys individual champion in the 50 yd free (25.26), and freshman Wesley Shakal the League boys individual champion in the 100 yd free (1:02.87).
Junior Silas Langdon added two more League championship titles to his Bret Harte swimming career; 200 yd free (2:00.63) and 100 yd butterfly (58.13). Last year he finished first in the 200 yd individual medley (2:20.70) and 100 yd backstroke (1:08.59). Langdon now holds five school records in the 200 yd individual medley (2:15.98), 200 yd free (1:56.38), 100 yd butterfly (56.41), 100 yd free (50.86), and 50 yd free (22.71).
Based on race times throughout the swim season, a total of ten Bullfrogs qualified for the post-season and a chance for a Section title. The CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Swimming Championships will begin with the trials scheduled for Wednesday, May 16 and Thursday, May 07 at District 56 Aquatic Center in Elk Grove. Competition begins at 10:00 AM on both days; girls on Wednesday and boys on Thursday. Finals are scheduled for Friday, May 08 at 10:00 AM.
