Last month the District recognized retiring teacher, Jennifer Truman, during the regularly scheduled Governing Board meeting on Monday, May 04. Ms. Truman, a long-time social studies teacher, is retiring after 30 years with the District. She has worn many hats over the years since he came to Bret Harte in the 1996-97 school year. The list includes soccer coach, cheer and dance team coach, field or throwing coach, club advisor, and more.
Truman was recognized as teacher of the year by his peers in 2021. After 30 years of teaching US History to juniors, Jennifer plans to spend her retirement traveling, volunteering with the Red Cross, and staying active in the various historical organizations
