Bret Harte Names 2026 Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Class
ANGELS CAMP, CA – The Bret Harte Athletic Hall of Fame selection committee is pleased to announce the selection of four individuals along with a coach, team and friend for induction in the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame as the Class of 2026. Inductees will be honored at the 2026 Induction Ceremony scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2026 at Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys, where the induction classes of 2026 and 2025 will be presented jointly.
Class of 2026 inductees include:
Tom Schroeder, class of 1966
Brad Sullivan, class of 1975
Jim Kern, class of 1985
Eric Rucker, class of 2001
Heath Lane, coach
Rosalind Cathcart*, friend
2006 Girls Golf Team, led by head coach Rich Cathcart
Class of 2025 inductees include:
Carrol “Sonny” Airola*, Class of 1955
Mick O’Meara, class of 1971
Jack Anderson, class of 1975
John Conklin*, class of 1976
Roy Davis, class of 1978
Barb Hardwick Edwards, coach
Don Fitzgerald*, friend
2006 Girls Cross Country Team, led by head coach Keith Maurer
Athletic Hall of Fame individual inductees were considered primarily on their achievements as high school student athletes and coaches at Bret Harte. Character values, during and after their high school years, are a major consideration. Inductees denoted with an asterisk are being honored posthumously.
