• Has taught in the Bret Harte Union High School District since the 2003-2004 school year.

• Taught at Arnold High School from 2003 through 2005.

• Has taught at Bret Harte Union High School since the 2005-2006 school year.

• Grew up in San Francisco.

• Graduated from Lowell High School in 1987.

• Has a BA in Psychology from SFSU.

• Has a BS in Biology from HSU.

• Has a Professional Clear Biological Sciences Teaching Credential from HSU.

• Studied Ornamental Horticulture at College of the Redwoods.

• Is married to Eric Maurer!

• Has sons Walker Winder Maurer born 3/16/06 and Sawyer Wayland Maurer born 5/9/08.

• Loves teaching, gardening, exercising, reading, the outdoors and sports!
