Congratulations to the Rotary Student of the Semester for Vallecito High School, Kaidance Anderson-Skaar, who was honored at the annual Angels-Murphys Rotary barbeque yesterday Thursday, May 21 in Murphys. The following information was shared about Kaidance from instructor Ms. Beckman.
“Kaidee has been an excellent example of a successful VHS student. Both a passionate writer and an advocate for social justice, Kaidee's perceptive nature and willingness to learn brought rich conversation and healthy debate to our classroom. With kindness and patience, she persevered through personal and academic hurdles to earn the necessary credits to graduate early and enroll in classes at Columbia College. Kaidee represents not only the qualities we hope to see in our students, but those we hope to see in our fellow citizens.”
