MEETING NOTICE: A Regular Governing Board Meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 3rd, 2025 in the District Board Room 53. ANNUAL PORTAL UPDATE: This is the last call to complete the Annual Portal Update for the 2025-26 school year on the Campus Parent Portal, which will close after October 31. If you have not already done so, please log into the Bret Harte Campus Parent Portal to complete as it will will greatly assist faculty and staff stay in communication with your student and their household and non-household contacts. The process takes no more than 10 minutes to complete. You will be asked to confirm addresses, phone numbers, notification preferences, emergency contacts, and more.

First, log into your Campus Parent Portal account on a desktop browser or on the mobile app. Second, navigate to Menu > More > Annual Update and Registration. Third, select the 2025-26 Annual Portal Update and follow the prompts. Instructions are attached. You can find the Campus Portal link on the District's webpage, brethartebullfrogs.org. REMINDER: "Hello from the Tech Department! As a reminder, students are required to bring a charged Chromebook to school every day. A small supply of Chromebooks will be available for 'daily check out' in the Learning Center for those students who infrequently forget their Chromebooks, or whose Chromebooks are being repaired.

New for Quarter 2: To help foster responsibility for bringing charged Chromebooks to school, we will be using 'guidance' through Minga when students have reached 6 checkouts per quarter. At 6 checkouts, students will start to receive warnings (and notifications home) about abusing the Daily Chromebook Check Out. At 10 checkouts, students will receive a Lunch Detention through Minga. And every 5 checkouts after that will equal a Pond Detention through Minga.

If your school-issued Chromebook is experiencing technical difficulties, or if it has been damaged or misplaced, please stop by the Learning Center to seek help from Mrs. Hungerford. It is important to take care of Chromebook issues quickly so to avoid needing to check out Daily Chromebooks as a regular occurrence." - Ms. Hungerford

SNACK & CHAT REMINDER: "Please join us for a Snack & Chat with Admin and Counseling! October 15th, 5:30-6:15pm Room 28. Enjoy some light snacks, chat with Administrators and Counselors and take part in mini sessions designed to help families support teens through the ups and downs of high school. Our focus: Supporting High Achiever's Stress & Overcoming Teen setbacks. * Learn simple ways to encourage balance and motivation without adding pressure * Leave with conversation starters and quick strategies to use at home." - Colleen Gavan. Familias de Bret Harte, ¡Les invitamos a un evento relajado, "Snack & Chat", con las consejeras y directores el 15 de octubre de 5:30 a 6:15 p.m. en el salón 28! Vengan a disfrutar una botana y platicar con los directores y el equipo de bienestar de la escuela. Después tendremos dos mini sesiones pensadas para ayudar a las familias a acompañar a sus adolescentes en los altibajos de la escuela secundaria. Temas: Apoyando el estrés de los triunfadores. Aprenda formas sencillas de encontrar un buen balance y motivación sin añadir presión. (Presentado en inglés; recursos disponibles en inglés y español) Superar los desafíos de la adolescencia. STUDENT PHOTO CONTEST: Submit your photos for a chance to be featured on our websites and social media accounts! We are looking for high-resolution digital images that visually embrace what is Bret Harte. Utilizing industry composition standards, photographs should encompass Bret Harte Union High School District's mission, schools, facilities and/or student body. Students' photographs that are selected will receive an ASB Pass for the current school year, which is good for student admission to all home athletic events and entrance or discounts on some school dance tickets and Leadership events.
