CLASS OF 2026: Senior Chromebook Returns UPDATE! >>> Senior Chromebook returns have been moved to Tuesday, May 26 during Government/Economics periods in the Learning Center. Seniors, please bring your District-issued Chromebook and any chargers in your possession to school. Be sure the device is CLEAN and CHARGED! Remove all stickers. Replacement fees will be posted for any devices not returned by the end of the day on Tuesday. Devices returned after Tuesday’s senior Chromebook returns, must be brought to Ms. Hungerford in the Learning Center. Payment of fees and associated questions can be directed to Ms. Sugar in the school office. Chromebook returns will not be accepted on Friday, May 22. Questions, contact Tech. CLASS OF 2026: Senior Chromebook returns will be handled differently this year than in previous years. Seniors will be required to return their District-issued Chromebook and corresponding charger during their English period at the end of the third week in May. FINAL SHOWS: Don’t miss Bret Harte Drama’s presentation of the Tony Award–winning musical comedy The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee! The final two shows are scheduled for tomorrow Thursday, April 23 and Friday, April 24 at 7:00 PM in the Dr. Elliott A. Smart Performing Arts Center. "Fire Tech opens registration for expanded Kids Fire Camp this summer || Bret Harte's fire tech program annual Kids Fire Camp is scheduled for the month of June this summer. Youth participants will receive an introduction to fire science and it's history, hose lay drills, ladders, hands-only CPR, basic first aid, auto extrication, and water rescue. New this year, is a junior camp designed for 2nd through 4th graders.
The Junior Camp, designed for students entering grades 2 – 4 in the fall of 2026, will run 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM Monday, June 8 through Friday, June 12, 2026. The Kids Camp, designed for students entering grades 5 - 8 in the fall of 2026, will run 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM Monday, June 15 through Friday, June 26, 2026 weekdays. Both camps will take place at the Bret Harte Fire Tech Facility, located in Bret Harte's Sports Complex.

REGISTER NOW: The Bret Harte Aquatic Center will host an American Red Cross® lifeguard training beginning Thursday, April 09. Each participant who successfully completes all class hours and requirements will receive a Lifeguarding/CPR/AED and First Aid certification valid for two years. REMINDER: Next week, March 16th-20th, will be a different bell schedule than normal due to our In-Service and Minimum days. The schedule will be as follows:
Monday: In-Service Day (NO SCHOOL)
Tuesday: odd periods (1, 3, 5 & 7)
Wednesday: even periods (2, 4 & 6) w/ EARLY RELEASE @ 1:10 PM
Thursday: odd periods (1, 3, 5 & 7)
Friday: even periods (2, 4, 6 & Pond)
