Position(s):     Classified Library/Media Technician  

Work Year:   190 workdays; 8 hours per day; 5 days per week

Start Date:     April 1, 2023

Salary:           Range 12; $20.58 - $22.64, Depending on Experience  

JOB DESCRIPTION

Directly responsible to the Principal of the high school in assisting with the implementation of the instructional and media program adopted by the school district. Instruct students and staff in the utilization of all library resources and equipment. Oversees inventory and assignment of textbooks, Chromebooks, and other instructional materials. Responsible for campus printers and supplies.  

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:      High school diploma with additional training and/or experience in Library Science and be computer literate.  

Experience:     Two years of recent experience relating to library science.  

Knowledge of:

  • Basic principles of cataloging and distributing library & instructional materials
  • Use of various computers and tablets and their associated software.
  • Appropriate clerical skills and grammar
  • Good telephone techniques.
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and staff.
  • Understand and follow written or oral instructions.
  • Perform a variety of clerical and technical work with speed and accuracy.

Ability to:
