Congratulations to the Boys Track & Field team who earned the title, 2025 Mother Lode League Champions, with a team score of 146 beating Calaveras, Riverbank, Summerville, Linden and Big Valley Christian High Schools this past Friday, May 9. The program finished with a 32-8 total team record this League season. Varsity boys went 10-0, varsity girls 6-4 finishing in second, frosh/soph boys 9-1 finishing first, and frosh/soph girls 7-3 finishing second. Individual League champions include: Juniors David Willey (110H, 100M, 4x100M Relay); Niko Kreisberg (4x100M Relay); Tumi Owens (High Jump, Triple Jump, 4x100M Relay). Sophomores TJ Bent (4x100M Relay); Drew Chapman (Pole Vault); Iago De Avila (100H, High Jump). Freshman Christian Acevedo (Long Jump) Maykayli Aitken (Pole Vault); Declan Needham (100M, 300H); Blair Lee (200M, 400M); Destiny Manyose (Long Jump). There were a total of 44 personal records set at the two-day League finals.
The program has a total of 23 student-athletes that qualified for the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section's D4/D5 Track & Field Championships scheduled to begin on Wednesday, May 14 at Riverbank High School. Field events begin at 2:00 PM and running events at 2:30 PM. Athletes qualifying during trials will go onto finals on Friday, May 16. Field events begin at 2:00 PM and running events at 4:30 PM.
