"Recent Bret Harte graduate, Edward “EJ” Schwartz, is one of just 526 individuals nationwide that was awarded a coveted Mike Rowe WORKS Foundation scholarship. The Foundation awards students entering the trades, such as diesel technology, construction, heavy equipment operation, and welding, through their annual Work Ethic Scholarship Program. Since its inception, the program has granted $11M in scholarships perpetuating their mission to 'help people get trained for skilled jobs that are in demand.'

Schwartz graduated from Bret Harte this past May with acceptance in-hand to attend Wyoming Technical Institute, or commonly referred to as WyoTech, later this month to pursue full-time training in their advanced diesel technology program in Laramie. With his goal of becoming a heavy diesel mechanic, Schwartz continued to lay his foundation in automotive and diesel technology during his time in Bret Harte’s career technical education courses in automotive diagnostics and agricultural mechanics..."
