Last week Bret Harte FFA competed in the annual Mother Lode FFA Section Opening and Closing Contest held at Frogtown in Angels Camp on Wednesday, September 17. With over 60 greenhand members, 3 open teams, and an officer team competing, Bret Harte made a big statement. Greenhand members had eight teams earning gold and three teams earning silver. In Open Teams, Bret Harte C was 3rd High Team and Bret Harte B was 4th high team. The Officer Team was 1st High Team with chapter president, Carson Prescott, along with chapter vice president, Annelise Zumbach, earning Outstanding honors.
