The Bret Harte High School Chapter FCCLA attended the Region 4 Fall Meeting held on Saturday, October 11 at San Juan High School in Citrus Heights. New culinary arts instructor, Katie Zahniser, along with sophomores John Goodall, Destin Hesler, and Cooper Erwin attended the event and were able to meet many students from the greater Sacramento area, as well as connect with students from other foothill high schools.
Ms. Zahniser shared, “They participated in three workshops that centered around leadership, cake decorating, and meeting direction. They got to decorate a cake form with play dough, learn about parliamentary procedure, and all three of them are now interested in becoming regional officers for Region 4.”
