Congratulations to the first Bravo Student of the Month for January recipient, junior Mayleigh Bowman. Mayleigh’s favorite classes are Auto and History. She is a member of the Mark Twain UES tutor program helping elementary students. Also, Mayleigh is a student-athlete competing in Soccer and Softball. When asked who she would like to meet among the living or passed, Mayleigh shared her great grandmother because of the impact she has had on her family.
“Mayleigh Bowman is a rockstar!” shared automotive instructor Mr. Sooter. “She takes the lead with any project without alienating her group members. She is always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it. She does quality work both hands on, and in academic assessments. Mayleigh does not compromise quality for speed.”
The Bravo program encourages a positive school environment where good choices are acknowledged and valued by recognizing and celebrating students who consistently demonstrate positive behavior and strong character. Each month, two juniors, sophomores and freshman will be recognized for their demonstration of excellence in the classroom, leadership among peers, and a genuine commitment to our school community.
