Jewel Maddox, a Bravo SOM, for January promo image

Congratulations to our fourth Bravo Student of the Month for January recipient, sophomore Jewel Maddox. Jewel’s favorite class is Art. She works at JoMa’s Artisan Ice Cream in Murphys. When student of the month recipients were asked would like to meet among the living or passed, Jewel shared author J.R.R. Tolkien because she loves his books.

“Jewel Maddox is the student we wish all students were,” shared instructor Mr. Hodson. “She’s polite, friendly, hardworking, intelligent and just fun to have in class.”

Spanish instructor Mr. Brady added, “I always appreciate how Jewel comes to class prepared, engages fully, and never hesitates to help other students. Her positive attitude helps keep my very large 7th period class on task. I wish I had more students like Jewel!”

The Bravo program encourages a positive school environment where good choices are acknowledged and valued by recognizing and celebrating students who consistently demonstrate positive behavior and strong character. Each month, two juniors, two sophomores, and two freshman are recognized for their demonstration of excellence in the classroom, leadership among peers, and a genuine commitment to our school community.
