District nursing staff will be hosting this year’s Bret Harte blood drive on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the Upper Gym.
Why donate, you ask?! “Every 2 seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood and or platelets. Approximately 30,000 units of red blood cells are needed every day in the US,” per Vitalant Foundation, a healthcare system assisting with this year’s Bret Harte blood drive.
The blood drive is open to staff, students 16 years of age and older, and community members. Donors must weigh more than 110 lbs. The donation process takes approximately one hour from start to finish. All donors will receive a free T-shirt. Learn more at https://aptg.co/M4Bjsx.
