Senior Josh Schuler has spent the last 11 years completing the rigorous requirements established by Scouting of America to earn their highest rank of Eagle Scout. This past Wednesday, April 15, Schuler successfully completed his final requirement with the Eagle Board of Review in Lodi

As a member of BSA Troop 343 in Murphys, he fulfilled the required Scouting of America’s obtainment of 21 merit badges focused around themes of leadership, service, character development, and personal responsibility. Only 6% of scouts earn the rank of Eagle Scout.

When Schuler was asked what his motivation for earning the BSA’s highest rank he shared, “I wanted to earn Eagle as it seemed like a natural progression and a nice way to finish something I spent so much time doing.”

Additionally, Schuler has maintained a 3.78 GPA while competing as a three-sport student-athlete in cross country, soccer, track and tennis. He plans to study business at Columbia College in the fall with long-term entrepreneurial goals.
