Congratulations to senior Annelise Zumbach who become a two-time individual Section champion this past Saturday at the 2026 CIF Sac-Joaquin Section D5 Track & Field Championships at Hughes Stadium in Sacramento.

The previous Friday, May 08 in Angels Camp, Zumbach became a two-time League champion in both the long jump (18-00.50) and triple jump (36-04.75) at the 2026 Mother Lode League Track & Field Championships. Joining Zumbach as a 2026 League champion are the following Bret Harte student-athletes:
TJ Bent: 100M (11.27) and 200M (22.96)
Ayla Jodie: Pole Vault (10-03)
Marion Scott: Pole Vault (12-00)
Jeshua Wahlman: 300H 36" (42.40)
Boys 4x100M Relay: Niko Kreisberg, Jett Williams, Tumiso Owens, and Bent (45.02)
Jodie will continue her track and field career at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, and Zumbach Chico State in the fall.
Zumbach is the sole track and field student-athlete to qualify for the 2026 CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Masters Track & Field Finals scheduled for this Saturday, May 23 at Folsom High School. Field events begin at 1:00 PM.
