SATURN APP - NOT BHUHSD AFFILIATED "Good Afternoon, It has been brought to the attention of several staff, administrators, and our technology team on campus that an app called "Saturn" has been growing in popularity and is being utilized by a number of our students. While we have no control over apps that our students use on their personal devices and phones, we would like to formally notify parents/guardians that this app has no affiliation with Bret Harte Union High School District in any way. In fact, our position as a district is that this app has too many security flaws and may not be safe for students to use. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING : A public hearing will take place at the next regular board meeting regarding Standards-Aligned Instructional Materials on Monday August 5, 2024. PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE: Public Hearing and Proposal for Implementing School Facility Fees as authorized by Education Code Section 17620 and Government Code 65995: Please take notice that immediately following a public hearing on the matter, a proposed resolution(s) will be considered by the Governing Board of Bret Harte Union High School District at its regular meeting on June 17, 2024, at 5:00 PM., which if adopted by the Board will implement development fees established by the District against residential construction and reconstruction at $2.07 (40 percent of $5.17) per square foot and against new commercial or industrial construction at $0.34 (40 percent of $0.84) per square foot. Education Code Section 17620 and Government Code Section 65995 authorize the proposed fees. Data pertaining to the cost of school facilities is available for inspection during regular business hours at the district’s administrative offices. The fee, if approved by the Governing Board, will become effective on August 4, 2024, which is 60 days after the proposed adoption of the resolution levying such fee by the Governing Board.

Doors will open at 5:30pm, and graduating students are asked meet with Vallecito staff in Multi-Purpose Room at 5:15pm.
