September's students of the month feature Zoe Ruggieri and Brennen Brouillette

Congratulations to the Students of the Month for September, Zoe Ruggieri and Brennen Brouillette, who were honored at the Angels-Murphys Rotary BBQ today September 12. The following information was shared about Zoe and Brennen.

Zoe Ruggieri: “There is no half-way for Zoe. She is there for her teammates, her clubs and organizations, and her friends and family. Zoe is a three-sport athlete covering, swimming, soccer, and water polo, she provides strong leadership and sportsmanship and is respected by her opposing players as well as her teammates. She is active in FFA, Renaissance, and CSF. Within the community, she has volunteered in the BOAC program, cleaning the park, food drive, and letters to Foothill Village and First Responders. Zoe has a full schedule of honors and AP classes to prepare her for her direction in college. Her college choices are St. Mary’s and Santa Clara where she will major in biochemistry to prepare her for a career in dermatology. Zoe takes duties and tasks seriously, but does not miss the opportunity to have fun with friends.”

Brennen Brouillette: “Brennen does not seek the spotlight, and she makes herself known as a leader in her own quiet and her very positive way. Brennen has a full plate, including Columbia College English, Leadership, and Yearbook as well as the usual senior requirement classes. Brennen is identified as a vital part of the Bullfrog volleyball and softball team. She is quick to step up and help others with a positive and selfless attitude. As a major cog in Renaissance and the Leadership program, Brennen helps with the planning and execution of the school rallies, including the complexities of the Homecoming parade. Within the community, Brennen volunteers to officiate AMA softball. Brennen has targeted San Marcos in San Diego as her college of choice, where she will major in multiple subject to prepare her for career in teaching elementary school. Her favorite grade level is 2nd and 3rd grade. Brennen moved to Bret Harte from Modesto, where she downsized from a school of 5000 to about 500, so she appreciates the special closeness that the latter offers. It is understandable the Brennen wishes to aim for the advantages of a small school as a teacher, so she can give back to her community."
