Bret Harte Union High School District Awarded $250,000 Career Technical Education Incentive Grant (CTEIG)
ANGELS CAMP, CA - Bret Harte Union High School District is thrilled to announce it has been awarded $250,000 for a Career Technical Education Incentive Grant (CTEIG). This significant funding will bolster Bret Harte’s commitment to providing students with vital skills for future success.
CTEIG, a state education, economic, and workforce development initiative, was established to equip students in kindergarten through twelfth grade with the knowledge and skills necessary to transition seamlessly into employment and post-secondary education.
The $250,000 will be specifically directed towards enhancing programs in Auto, Ag Science, and Ag Mechanics. These funds will be used to purchase new equipment, curriculum development, and professional development for instructors, ensuring students receive cutting-edge training in these high-demand fields.
“We are incredibly excited and grateful for this CTEIG allocation,” said Scott Nanik, Superintendent. “This funding will be instrumental in strengthening our Auto, Ag Science, and Ag Mechanics programs, providing our students with unparalleled opportunities to develop the hands-on skills needed for successful careers and continued education.”
Bret Harte is actively pursuing additional grants to support its many other Career Technical Education (CTE) areas. Bret Harte is dedicated to robust CTE offerings across all disciplines.
