CLASS OF 2023: "Good afternoon, It is hard to believe, but the end of the school year is right around the corner, and for our graduating seniors, that means the end of their high school career. This is a time of reflection and celebration. One of the most cherished celebrations we have is our graduation ceremony. This year, the Bret Harte Union High School graduation ceremony will be held on Friday, June 2, beginning at 7:30pm on Dorroh Field. In order for students to participate in the Graduation Ceremony, students must first successfully meet all of the graduation requirements. Additionally, we will hold mandatory graduation practices on Wednesday, May 31st, and Thursday, June 1st, from 8:30am – 10:30am. In order for a student to participate in the Graduation Ceremony, students are required to attend both practices. If a student does not attend those practices, the student will not be allowed to participate in the Graduation Ceremony on Friday, June 2nd. Although the thought of saying farewell to our seniors comes with mixed emotions, we are thoroughly excited to celebrate their accomplishments with the collimating event of Graduation. SUMMER JOB FAIR: "Are you looking for a summer job? Now is your chance to get hired! Local business representatives will be on-campus Monday, May 22 during lunch in RM 27. Open to all students. CLASS OF 2023: If you are planning to attend Columbia College in the fall, mark your calendars for the LAST financial aid application workshops scheduled for May 9 and May 25. Students who do not attend must meet with a financial aid specialist or their MEOC Specialist individually during business hours.
As a reminder, students planning to attend college MUST complete a financial aid application for the Promise Scholarship, no matter which college they attend.
The application workshops will be held in person on the Columbia College campus. We will also provide a Zoom link for those that cannot make it to our campus for in person help.

BRET_HARTE: "Hello Seniors, Juniors and Parent/Guardians, Prom will be held at Ironstone on Saturday April 29th. The event will run from 8pm to midnight. Doors will close at 9pm and no students will be allowed in after that time. Students are subject to random breathalyzer testing. Students will be allowed to leave the dance at their discretion but will not be allowed to re-enter once they have left the venue. Last day for ticket sales is tomorrow at lunch in room 38 for $60 per person. -Bret Harte Union High School"

REMINDER: Join us tonight for our annual College Night event beginning at 5:30 PM in the Bret Harte Theater. Guest speakers and representatives from CSU, UC, private universities and community colleges will present to future graduates and their families, led by Ms Godfrey, academic/college/career counselor. Post secondary funding and scholarship opportunities will be covered. We hope to see you there!

ATHLETICS: The 2023 Mother Lode League Swim Tournament is scheduled for this Friday, April 21 beginning at 1:00 PM. Gate opens at 12:15 PM. Standard League admission prices apply.
Food and refreshments will be available for purchase from Stacy’s Tacos, Motherlode Kettle Corn and the Bret Harte Aquatic Center snack bar. Spectators may want to bring their own shade. In addition, event shirts will be for sale by an outside shirt vendor.
Note, the Aquatic Center will be closed for the day due to the tournament.
