CLASS SCHEDULES UPDATE: "We're currently in the balancing phase of our master schedule. During this time, you may notice changes in Infinite Campus as we adjust class sizes. While we'll do our best to place you in your preferred classes, some schedules may include your 2nd or 3rd choice alternates to ensure a complete and balanced schedule. For Seniors: You will not have partial day on your schedule until you/your parents/guardians complete the form, and can prove you are enrolled in a Community College Course for the fall, or you have a work permit on file at the beginning of the school year. If you have any scheduling questions, especially if you see an error ~ feel free to email me-I'll be checking messages periodically over the summer. Thank you for your understanding and support!" - Ms. Godfrey

"Today, prospective 2025/26 student schedules were released and can be accessed on the student and parent portal of Infinite Campus. Please be aware that while this is the tentative schedule for next year, it may be adjusted over the summer to balance classes and accommodate changes resulting from summer school. I would like to thank our Bret Harte staff for working so diligently over the last two months with students and families to give them the best course schedule as possible. We are aware that some of the student choices for next year's courses may have changed. To request a schedule change, each student must complete a Schedule Change Request Form (available electronically [https://5il.co/3h4jze} or in paper at the school front office), including the reason for the request and parent/guardian signature. Non-essential requests, such as: to be with friends or to change teachers, will not be granted. All requests must be made in the first two weeks of the school year to receive consideration, unless the reason for a change is based on an inappropriate placement and should be submitted to Ms. Sherryl Godfrey. On behalf of the Bret Harte Staff, we hope you have a wonderful and relaxing summer and can use this time to rejuvenate yourself for next year. We look forward to having you in our classrooms again in August!" - Jacob Holt, principal

"Dear Parents and Guardians, I hope this message finds you well. It has come to our attention that a rumor has been circulating among students regarding a potential senior prank scheduled for this Friday. Specifically, we've heard that some seniors may be planning to bring younger siblings or even pets to school that day. While we understand the excitement and traditions that often accompany the end of the senior year, we want to be clear: bringing non-students, including younger siblings or pets, to school as part of a prank is not allowed. For the safety and well-being of all students and staff, only currently enrolled students and pre-approved visitors are permitted on campus during school hours. We are asking for your partnership in helping us maintain a safe, respectful, and disruption-free environment as we approach the end of the school year. Please speak with your student and remind them of our school policies and the importance of making responsible choices. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to celebrating our seniors in appropriate and meaningful ways in the days ahead. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out." - Jacob Holt, principal
