ATHLETIC UPDATE: As of 12:00 PM today, JV Baseball vs Ripon has been CANCELED. The varsity game will continue as scheduled at 1:00 PM on the junior varsity baseball field. \\ Baseball vs Ripon scheduled for Saturday, March 22 has been changed to a game time of 10:00 AM for junior varsity followed by varsity at 1:00 PM on the junior varsity baseball field due to field conditions. Parking is limited near the field, and is available in the horseshoe and student parking lots. Spectators will walk down the sidewalk of Murphys Grade Rd or enter the football stadium and follow the outside of the track. SIGN UP TO SAVE A LIFE! District nursing staff will be hosting this year’s Bret Harte blood drive tomorrow Thursday, March 20 from 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM in the Multipurpose Room. With 21 registered, they are looking for 11 more individuals - staff, students or community members - to help them reach their goal of 32 donors! REMINDER: Today's annual 8th Grade Expo is scheduled to begin at 3:30 PM in the Bret Harte Theater. Attendees MUST have submitted permission slips prior to attending the event. After the welcome and introduction speeches, future Bullfrogs will take a campus tour. Parent/guardians are to arrive at 5:30 PM for a presentation in the Theater. Thereafter, all will converge in the Multipurpose Room to schedule their registration appointments for the following week and learn more about activities and clubs. Attendees are expected to attend the entirety of the event. Parent/guardians are required to provide their student’s transportation home when the event ends at approximately 6:30 PM. CLASS OF 2025: All Seniors that will be attending Columbia College in Fall 2025, your attendance is REQUIRED at the Columbia College Application Workshop scheduled for Friday, March 21 at 2:00 PM in the Learning Center. Columbia College will have a team on campus to assist all interested students applying for Fall 2025 enrollment, Columbia College’s Promise program, FASA ID creation, and/or Motherlode Educational Opportunity Center (MEOC) assistance. CLASS OF 2025: "Hello Senior Families, I have received several inquiries regarding the format for the local scholarship program. Here are a few details for you: 1. 67 students out of 138 in the Class of 2025 filled out at least 1 Scholarship Application. 2. All students who are receiving a scholarship will be notified the week of May 5th. 3. Students who are receiving a scholarship will NOT know which one until awards night. 4. Students will have approx. 5 days to get in their RSVP to attend awards night. 5. Awards night is May 21st at 6pm. All family is invited to attend! FFA UPDATE: "On Wednesday, March 12th, 2025, we will be holding our monthly FFA meeting which will begin at 6:00 pm in the theater. We encourage all members to attend to see what events are happening in our chapter this month. Please note that students cannot miss more than three FFA meetings per year to stay eligible to show at the fair, attend leadership conferences, and compete in FFA events. After the meeting, we are hosting the 3rd annual blacklight dodgeball tournament in the lower gym. This will begin at 7:00 pm, after our FFA meeting. If your student is on a team, make sure they wear their team shirt! This event will have no re-entry for students. Other events/reminders as they approach are listed below: • If your student is attending the California State Convention, please pay the registration fee by Friday March 7th. • Judging teams are in full swing- if your student is on a team make sure to get their competition dates from them! • ALL Livestock Fair Exhibitors grades will be checked at the conclusion of the 3rd quarter. The requirement is a 2.0 or higher to show at a fair with no F in their agriculture class. LARGE ANIMAL FAIR ENTRY FORMS ARE DUE TO THE FAIRGROUNDS BY SATURDAY APRIL 5, 2025 by 5:00pm.
