COUNSELING UPDATE >>> SAT: "Hello Seniors! I will be giving the SAT on Oct. 7th in Room 27. Please be there by 7:45 with a fully charged Chromebook. See Ms. Sugar in the main office for payment instructions. There can be no exceptions to this deadline as it set by College board. || PSAT: "The PSAT is on October 8th in Room 27. You MUST be there by 7:45 to ensure your chrome book is updated. PLEASE take the practice tests prior to the 8th to make sure you are prepared. Total testing time is about 2 12 hours so prepare your teachers as well... CALLING ALL IDEAS: "Looking for Homecoming theme ideas! This year we are concentrating on all staff and student input. Homecoming is September 26th and we need ideas by next week....so don't delay! BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT: "Hi Bullfrog Families- Please Join us for Back to School Night on Monday, August 25th from 5:45-8:05. This year we will have the Los Pinos Taco Truck and a Dole Whip vendor available in the quad as well as a chance to win a Family Athletic Pass! Here's the schedule: 5:45-8pm: Los Pinos Taco Truck and Dole Whip vendors available in Lower Gym Quad. 5:45-6:10: Pick up student schedules, visit Parent survival tip table, enter raffle for Athletic Pass, meet & greet counselors & admin, make purchases or pick up athletic passes already purchased (all happening in Lower Gym Quad). 6:10-6:20: Principal's Welcome (Lower Gym Quad). 6:20-8:05: Rotate through your student's classes, meet their teachers & become familiar with specific class expectations & procedures. FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL: "Hello Bret Harte Students & Family! The 2025-2026 school year is quickly approaching! Please see the information below regarding our first week of school and the events taking place. Freshman & New Student Orientation || All new students are encouraged to attend the Orientation scheduled for Tuesday, August 12 from 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM. Special busing is provided. Learn more [at https://5il.co/3my84]. Students attending the Freshman and New Student Orientation will receive their District-issued Chromebook and corresponding charger. It is highly recommended that each student brings either a bag or backpack to safely transport the device throughout the day. Replacement cost detail can be found [at https://5il.co/3i8xz]. In addition, students will receive instructions for user access, such as school email and Campus Student Portal access, when receiving their device. New students who do not attend the orientation will need to obtain their device directly from Mrs. Hungerford in the Learning Center on the first day of school. First Day Frenzy || Wednesday, August 13: Classes begin at 8:00 AM with our traditional opening day - namely, First Day Frenzy - a schedule that will include opportunities for students to meet their teachers, receive student purchases and take pictures. The day will conclude at 1:30 PM. The schedule for Thursday, August 14 and Friday, August 15 will be ALL PERIODS 1 - 7 w/ a normal release time @ 3:00 PM. Online review and submission of forms by parents/guardians will take less than 30 minutes and your progress will be tracked.
